A fixed-price code audit
Before you pay anyone to fix your app, find out what's actually wrong with it.
I review your app's code, whether it came from Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or a developer, and send a written report: what's risky, what's slow, and what to fix first. I've built apps on this stack for 5 years, so I know where they usually break.
Read-only access is enough. I sign an NDA first if you need one.
From$299.
- for a typical SaaS MVP
- in about 5 working days
- The report is yours, whether or not you hire me.
Who orders an audit
Founders with an AI-built app who want to know if it's safe before more users arrive.
AI-built appsTeams taking over code from a freelancer or agency that's no longer around.
Anyone about to raise money or sell, who wants a second opinion before someone else looks.
Teams planning a big change, who want to know what will be hard before they start.
What I review
| Area | What I check |
|---|---|
| Security | Secrets in client code, auth on every route and action, input validation, known vulnerable packages |
| Data access | Database rules like Supabase RLS, who can read and change what, queries built from user input |
| Payments | Webhook verification, and whether the server or the browser decides an order is paid |
| Architecture | Structure, duplication, and the parts that will be hard to change later |
| Performance | Bundle size, slow queries, caching, and Core Web Vitals where data exists |
| Deployment | Environment variables, build setup, staging, backups |
| Search basics | For public sites: server rendering and metadata on key pages |
If search traffic is the main worry, the technical SEO audit goes much deeper on that side.
What you get
The report is written so any competent developer can act on it, not just me.
A written report
Each finding says what's wrong, why it matters, where it is in the code and how to fix it.
A priority for every finding
Fix now, fix soon, or can wait.
An effort estimate
Small, medium or large, so you can plan the work.
A short video walkthrough of the most important findings.
A fixed quote for the fixes, if you want me to do them. No obligation.
How it works
You order the audit through the contact form and share read-only access to the repo.
I review the code over the next few working days. I may send a few questions.
- You get the report and the video
Usually within 5 working days for a typical MVP.
- You decide what's next
Fix it yourself, with your team, or with me. Fix projects follow the same process as my development work.
The audit is paid when you order it. If you hire me for the fixes within 30 days, the audit price is credited toward them.
What the audit isn't
Not a penetration test.
I read the code. I don't attack your live system.
Not a compliance certificate.
It won't make you SOC 2 or HIPAA compliant.
Not a rewrite pitch.
If a rewrite is truly the best option, I'll say so and explain why. It rarely is.
The $299 price covers a typical SaaS MVP: one app and one database. For bigger codebases, I look at the code first and confirm a fixed price before you pay.
Questions about the code audit
No. Read-only access to the repository is enough. A GitHub invite with read permission works well.
JavaScript and TypeScript apps: Next.js, React, Node.js and Express, with Supabase, Firebase, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and ORMs like Prisma, Mongoose or TypeORM.
Then you know your app is in good shape, and that's worth knowing. The report still lists smaller improvements, ranked by value.
Yes. The report is written for developers, with file names and suggested fixes. You can hand it straight to your team.
Yes, before I see any code.
